Or, I guess I should say...crossed the deserts of the Southwest, cross-polinated brothels of Nevada, the dive bars of Arizona and the polygamist compounds of Utah, and were heard saying weird things like, "Hi I'm a sex therapist from Los Angeles and he's a film maker from Kansas City."
So, what happened?
That's correct!
They started to make a documentary film about Prostitution, Porn and Polygamy also simply known as Temples and Brothels.
Well then now,.....
We've been tied up, shackled and bound, by our distance and desire to fund and finish this project. We've got a new campaign in the works which includes a rockin party complete with bands and burlesque dancers at the Czar Bar in Kansas City on October 18th, where you can actually attend, see live bands and sexy women, not to mention raw uncut footage of the project thus far and of course the ability contribute to this project in person. If you are a local Kansas City-ite you should most definitely check it out.
Details for the party and fundraiser can be found on the facebook event page. http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=135906163173133
In the meantime I am doing what a rock n roll sex therapist does best. That is going to sex fests, ie. Sex related events.

I went to the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco, CA. Affectionately known by the locals as Sodom and Gomorrah.
From Wikipedia: In Christian and Islamic traditions, Sodom and Gomorrah have become synonymous with impenitent sin, and their fall with a proverbial manifestation of God's wrath.[2][Jude 1:7] Sodom and Gomorrah have also been used as metaphors for vice and homosexuality viewed as a deviation. The story has therefore given rise to words in several languages, including the English word "sodomy", used in so-called sodomy laws to describe a sexual "crime against nature" consisting of oral or anal sex, either homosexual or heterosexual.[3]
In the 90's when I lived in San Francisco as a wee 20 something girl, the Folsom Street Fair was my stomping grounds. Taking place every last weekend in September, It was more about the underground leather, drug, rock n roll, and of course all the gay debaucheries that went along with it. Today, some 15 years later, it seems more like a fetish or kink fest. Which is still great, but now it's definitely more about flaunt it up, and do it big, rather than be yourself. I personally prefer be yourself, everyday, but who are we kidding?? That's always easier said than done for many of us. So I spent the day there last Sunday. And here are some pics to whet your whistle.
We'll see you soon, somewhere out there, we hope.
xoxo
